Reply to "In the interest of originality"

George,
Thank you very much for the exhaustive information. I purchased the car with an offenhauser manifold (not sure of what type) on but luckily in the purchase original parts came with it. The wiring had been spliced not to one but no less than 4 antitheft devices. That took some patience sorting. The engine is bone stock and number matching, the ZF has 72 -2 numbers and has been fully rebuilt this year. My only concessions so far have been the cooling and the msd ignition. Funny you would mention the harmonic balancing as that is the price no object part i intend to replace. So far it has been a labor of love and patience, the cosmetics are next.......original giallo fly of course! Driving it is a trip on memory lane, as I was fortunate to sit on the same car model with Bertocchi senior in Modena as a child visiting the factory when my dad picked up a 73 GTS. Something about the purity of the first design that brings me back to it.
Thanks for the offer on the carb rebuild, i do also have a 4300 I need to restore.
