Sorry, but you are confusing me…

Your first picture has the plate that typically goes on the pedal box, the “cut out” in the aluminum plate shows the cars VIN number on it, and the motuere number is stamped below on the aluminum plate.

Your second picture shows what I would expect to see on the driver side of the engine bay (in a LHD CAR), which shows the engine number as a four-digit value, that should correspond to a number stamped onto the back of the block on the same side of the car is the plates.

The two pictures that you have in your original post sure look like the database plates that I have on my 1973 “L” Model2-

There is also a plate on the inside of the driver's door that has the VIN number as well.

The last four digits of the VIN number should be stamped on the portion of the headlight buckets.
