Mark,
the fuel injectors hidden inside the fuel bowls & packaging the whole thing to look like a Holley carb is novel, but where this system breaks new ground for an aftermarket system is with the software. First it controls fuel pressure by pulsing the power to the fuel pump, simplifying the fuel system plumbing. Second it is self tuning. Up until this time, to my knowledge, only factory systems employed adaptive (self tuning) software.
"IF" this system works and is reliable, then conversion to fuel injection becomes a simple bolt-on proceedure, no more difficult than bolting on a carburetor. This is a big step for aftermarket FI.
One of 2 reasons I've been a big fan of FI conversions built upon Ford's EEC IV system is because it employs adaptive software.
Another nail in Holley's coffin, and a good company to own a few shares of stock in.
