The difference between the two types of lights, switched or not switched.....allows you to purchase a non-switched version and cut a notch in it if you want to use it in a switched version.

Watch the chrome!

I put a new bezel on my engine compartment lamp, and promptly lost it somewhere out on the road.......so I can't say how well the new bezels really work as replacements based upon this one experience......

If there was a way to just get the white lens, it would be possible to repair some of our lamps! I do have an empty chrome bezel....probably from the engine bay (probably melted but not from the bulb!) That I would like to refurb!!!

WAY back when, I brought a bag full of these things back for Larry up in Reno (PPC) after one of my trips to the factory! But that was decades ago.....and are probably gone...

Yes, the original bulb will melt the white plastic if you leave your doors open for an extended period of time! I suggest that you don't do that.....! ...until you get an LED bulb!

Any Bulb numbers handy for replacement LED versions?
