Might do their bit, but be very careful with mods involving the main water pipes. The prototype Pantera had the big water pipes up inside the center console, and quickly lowered them to their present position under the floor when test drivers were seriously overheated. The gearshift boot was added at the same time. Theres a lot of heat radiating off the big tubes already, and for one reason or another, it seems the cabin attracts it. The floor actually heats up in some Panteras! As far as an underbody scoop, no one really knows how the air flows under the car; we can only guess. But it seems likely that a lot of the underbody air has already been heated pretty hot by first going through the radiator. Some guys have added underbody airscoops like you describe to direct air to rear oil coolers, mostly unsuccessfully, though. I suspect road debris and the like damaged or destroyed them.
