This is the same ZF that is used in both the Pantera and Mangusta. In this car and the Mangusta, it is mounted 'right side up'. In the Pantera it is spun 180 degrees on the crank centerline, so it is mounted 'upside down'. The box on the right is where the shift linkage goes into. On our Panteras, it would be on the upper left.

But Micheal, that one doesn't look anything like mine at all. Mine has little tiny bolts holding on the linkage cover and it has a flat back to it, not that pointy thing. And mine is silver aluminum. No sir it doesn't look at all like that one. I bet someone put a powerglide in mine and didn't tell me. Boy wouldn't that honk you off. I probably got a dumb old chevy tranny and don't even know it.
