Dual Friction is a clutch product line made by Centerforce that have different friction materials on the pressure plate and flywheel sides of the clutch disc….thus “dual (coefficient of) friction” moniker.

Dual (or multi) disc clutches are different animals. They actually have dual or a stack of clutch discs and pressure plates that create more total area thus total friction and holding power in a given size package. There a number of offerings but McLeod’s Street Twin dual disc models are popular in high horsepower street cars. They can be had in both diaphragm and Long actuators. They are very nice but not needed in most Panteras and will cost much more than the Centerforce unit.

Best,
Kelly
