Reply to "IS ANYONE RUNNING A DUAL FRICTION CLUTCH?"

Yes in my Pantera and Shelby. Shelby has an 11 inch Chevy in there because of the Richmond 5 speed which uses a fine spline Chevy input shaft.

My Pantera has the correct Pantera version.

It is a very weird clutch to break in. Definitely will slip for at least 100 miles. Maybe more? Centerforce says 500 miles.

It does have very light pedal pressure with it though. The Mcleod has a much heavier pedal.

I had a Centerforce dual friction in my SHO that only lasted 8000 miles. That was a bummer.

So far so good on the other two. Recommended yes, but neither has more than 1,500 miles on it.

I can tell you that it noticeably etched the flywheel in the SHO.

Some don't like these things. Some do. I can tell you that Centerforce is not your best friend. The tech guy there is NOT my best friend.

Centerforce lists lower HP numbers for their units. In discussing this with my heavy duty race friends, they think it is good for around 800hp. Centerforce says 500.
