Numbers?

We don't need no stinkin numbers!!!

I guess if there was a strip near home, I'd go and see what I could do. But there isn't, so I haven't. And if I had the spare change for a suction cup mounted toy that would give me some numbers, maybe I'd buy one. I did dyno the car at Vegas in '03 and got 297 RWHP.

But really, I don't care. I'm not braggin about my Pantera. I'm not racing for pink slips. I'm sure there are Vipers, Camaros and rice rockets in town that can out perform 2511.

But the bottom line is this:

There are a lot of nice cars out there on the roads today, but they are not a Pantera - the most beautiful, mid engined car ever conceived. It is powered by a bad ass Ford pushrod V-8, it SOUNDS bad ass, it is not a cookie cutter car that any neighbor can go and buy at the dealer, and owning it has fulfilled a thirty year old dream.

And I'm driving it ..... the other guy is wishing he could ;-)
