Reply to "Does anyone see a problem with modifying the pedal assembly with Clevis Pins and Hitch Pin Clips?"

There's a LOT of force on all the pins in the assembly and it moves constantly with zero lubrication its entire life, so hardened pins are advised. Nothing is hardened or lubricated as OEM. Drilling hardened pins requires carbide drills. Rene's roller bearings are a nice touch. FWIW, I used sections of hardened pushrods for pins and aluminum-bronze bushings, with hitch-pins like LF did, on each end of each pin. Every hole was egg shaped which takes up clutch free play.
