I use radar detection almost 100% of the time I'm on an interstate; its completely legal in California. My detector senses LIDAR too, but sensing LIDAR does little to prevent being caught. However, LIDAR is rare to come across in California; the CHP is still predominantly using radar.

So I'm curious, does the highway law enforcement in Canada strictly use LIDAR for speeding, do they not still use LASER as well?

If they're still using LASER, are they equipped with RDD too?
