Reply to "Jammers"

That's a good question. Others probably have the answer.

From what I have read, most Canadian police speeding enforcement is done with handheld or tripod mounted Laser or LIDAR cameras.

This has been my experience for every single speeding ticket I have gotten in Quebec, Ontario or in the northeastern US including VT, NY, NJ, PA, RI, ME and MA over the past many years.

The most popular models the police have used to ticket me are:

Ultralyte LTI, TruSpeed or Marksma is the most popular. They also use the Stalker LIDAR LZ1, Kustom Pro Laser 3 and Laser Atlanta SpeedLaser.

I try to take pics of the offending device each time so that I can prepare a better defense and almost 100% of the time it has been an Ultalyte model.

I'm no expert on the technology inside these devices but for sure they will eventually get a reading if you are speeding and unaware of their presence. They are usually hiding behind bushes, overpass supports or inside a median forest. Their devices are instant on and off.

I've had radar detectors in the past and the police can detect them immediately. That's a big ticket plus they take your device and sometimes your car too.

The bottom line is the police have the devices and we don't. With no way to defend ourselves legally on the road, a cloaked device that warns me, jams the police hand held device momentarily so I can get down to the legal speed range and then shuts off, is an ideal solution for me.

A wireless control system would allow me to easily move it from car to car with a little advance preparation in each car.
