parapanteraIf you can't fix it with a hammer.....you have an electrical problem.

Even in the tail pipe portion of the exhaust the heat will eventually cause regular paint to flake off. However, if regular old black is the color your after, I have found and tried that a rattle can of Barbeque paint available at your local hardware store works great! It's good for temp's up to 800 degree's, chemical resistant, and has rust inhibitors built in. For less than $10 a can, you can paint a helluva lot of tail pipes!
