Just a dumb question

I just happened to visit the factory site afew minutes ago and it got me thinking. Why is the site still up if the whole operation is wrapped up? Is it so cheap to have a website stay up and running? Granted there have been no updates and such but is this just a vestige of the past or a hope for the future??
