Tires are available, cost is the factor; , Pirelli have the 345 rears at something like $700 ea. , but fronts are challenging, the stock GT5 width is a 275 on a 10" front, a 255 tire is bit skinny IMO.

Michelin TB5/TB15's are a good tire that have widths to suit front and rear, that said I'm going the dumb route and running Avon slicks; Roger Kraus Racing in Castro Valley will cut treads into them for you and they are a bit taller for the GT40.
