The red Konis are really good street shocks with compression damping adjustment, even if adjusting them is cumbersome. Its also possible to corner-balance your Pantera with those non-adjustable spring seat shocks by adding various thickness of top shims. You need a set of four corner scales to check the effect of your work. Shimming one shock affects all 4 corner weights to some degree so its an iterative job. Take notes.
I did this on our '72 before I sold the old red shocks & bought a set of new yellow gas-pressurized Konis with adjustable spring seats. An Illustrated article is in the POCA Archives. Takes awhile to improve things with the red ones but you only need time, and a supply of scrap 3/16" or 1/4" aluminum and a drill press to make circular spacers. Or a lathe if you want to make things look neater. The effect on handling was very similar but the new shocks were quicker to adjust..
