Reply to "L model seat belts needed"

Gary Herrig, the guy who does the Corvette seats for Pantera's, does a little auto-upholstery on the side. He told me he can re-web my seat belts for me, so you can contact him if all you want is nice, new webbing. He said most auto upholstery shops do re-webbing routinely, so you can also check your local auto upholstery shops.

I am going to do that too, but first I'm going to scour the auto salvage yards. I dislike the way the shoulder harnes clips onto the seat belt buckle, so I'll be looking for newer style buckles that have the seat belt looping thru the buckle and back to the shoulder harness bolt. Then I'll probably get a local auto upholstery shop to stitch up some new webbing and use the original hardware for the three attachment points on each side. Should save about 5 minutes each time I get in and buckle up.

You can also re-dye the webbing until you get around to one of these alternatives above. You can contact Garry Herrig and I know for sure he has several old Pantera seat belt assemblies laying around he'll part with.
