I am very sorry to hear about your mishap in another post.
I hope you get it sorted out ok.

Is this the "box" you are talking about? Where the shift rod goes in?
It should just have grease in it and not oil.
Unless the seal where it goes into the case is leaking, I'm not sure I understand where you are describing.
