I'm just so glad someone responded that I don't care if you're unclear! Actually though, you're 'on' since that IS THE EXACT spot where my leak is currently.

I tired to put an 'arrow' on the photo, but was unable, so bear with my description...

It's where the shift rod enters the case. Right at the juncture of the exposed 'curved' shaft and the housing. My leak is pouring right past the rubber bellows. Hope that makes sense.

I ordered a new rubber seal for that area ($35!) and it should be here next week.

Thank you VERY much for the photo of what we're in for once the cover is removed. Appears this is not a 'pressure' spot, so that's a revelation.
