Reply to "left to right hand drive conversion"

I've seen this done in two different ways on factory right-hand-drive cars.
Early cars retain the clutch and brake master cylinders on the left and use horizontal bars to get the force from the pedals to other side of the car. This sounds nasty but works ok on my car.
Later cars (not sure from what date) are done more neatly with all the master cylinders etc moved to the right hand side.
I believe a couple of UK cars have been broken in the past few years - so there may be a some second hand bits about.
Hope this helps - I may be able to find out a little more about this if nobody else has the answer.
