Longchamp fuel tank

My LC was converted with LPG and I plan to return it running with gas. I just got the RH tank from previous owner, I can use it as a template to rebuild new one(s). It looks to be in aluminium because of the light weight. My questions are :
1- Does the resin I can see on the bottom section is a repair or is it stock ? (see pictures)
2- Is the yellow coating original?
3- If to rebuild the LH tank , would you make it aluminium, or rebuild both with Stainless steel?
4- Does anyone has cut or open such a tank to see how it is inside. I can see a wall from the inlet duct, I don't know where it stops. is it just to manage the flow when filling the tank?
