Where do they sit, flush with the hood or lower like the originals? Any chance you can post a photo?

I removed my 74 impact bumper, which was in a really poor state and cut that down to two small rubber sections which I was going to use as a base to fabricate some carbon fiber bumperettes. But these will still sit flush with the hood if I use the existing holes.

In reading the Pantera Place post on conversion from L to pre L bumpers it was evident that it required quite some work and the holes were not in the right place.

Maybe Kirk's units are fabricated with the specific mod from L in mind?
