245's are about the largest you can get on the front. Even those require you to take a 5# lumping hammer and clearance inside of the fender.

The 225-50-15 is nice in that it interferes with nothing and lowers the front of the car a hair.

It doesn't effect the steering effort and when you go wider you start to effect the original design geometry built into the steering.

The picture that RickP posted gives you a pretty good idea of how well the tire fills the rear well and how the car sits with them.

Looks like he is still using the factory installed spring spacers. If you take them out you will lower the car about an inch and close up some of the fender gap.

You will feel it with better corning bite when you take them out too.
