You'll have some tell you that the blacktop under the car is at a high temp and that there is lots of dirt and debri that the intake tubes will pick up. I don't think you'll have a problem if you have a good filter system on the car.
Try it. Put a temp sensor on one of the intake tubes. I'd like to know what the intake temp is.
I recorded an intake air temp of ~187 deg F on my car on an everage afternoon (75-80 deg ambiant). There is quite a bit of free power to be had if you can lower the intake temp.
I'm working on a ram-air scoop for my car but it won't be done for a while. Apparently I'm supposed to spend some time with my family and not just on my car.
