Reply to "low profile racing seats"

I am using the Pantera seat, recovered with the newer pattern.

I lowered the pans 2" and moved the pedals forward 1-1/2".

There was so much room created that it allowed me to install power seat platforms which have 18 different possible positions. They have a rake adjustment, height adjustment, power lumbar and front and back.

In regards to what seats fit best, I like the Pantera seat with the hinged back. If you examine it, the bottom of the seat is literally on the floor to start with.

You can use the Corvette power seat platform for one. I used the Ford Taurus platform which is plentiful. It is one of the best modifications that I did to the car. No more struggling to adjust the seat.

You can change your seating position effortlessly as you are driving. My passenger also.

Both lowering the pans and moving the pedals might sound scary to you but they are both rather simple changes. There is no question that my changes will provide more then enough room for your helmet.
