I believe that I had a two position (on-off) fan switch go bad, no surprise....no relay in the circuit, now there is.... If you can find a regular DPDT or even a SPST (if it fits the wiring!) like the one in the post above a bit..... You can swap the top of the switch or just the knob & arm.

Trying to pull the plastic knob off would likely damage it.....but you can take the top of the switch off, push out the pin and put the entire knob and lever into the new switch.

Be careful though, Lucas was the master of building switches with tiny things & springs that fly to the deepest darkest corners of your garage or kitchen floor when you aren't paying attention!!!!
