The fans -should- have been 2 speed, but unfortunately just single throw..! You could always add a double-throw switch and a resistor if you wanted a second speed interior fan...all in all, just smarter to hook up a thermostat for the engine fans.
The single double throw (3 positions) switch is used for the headlights--so functionally, very common and shared with motorcycles. The emergency switch is a two-pole switch--originally this used the Ghibli fuel pump switch (that switches between left and right tank, but of course you want one of the other...just ask my brother who ran out of gas on one tank on his Cessna during the last minute on approach...
). So this is a 2 position switch but dual pole (2 fully independent circuits, as it switches between even the 2 different blinker relays used for ignition On and ignition OFF modes).
