Well, I solved the Comet problem. Looks like I can sell the Mallory coil on Ebay and make enough to buy the matching distributor and coil, and a new set of wires. The wire to the coil is getting a full 12V, so that should work. I see new and remanned dizzys for about the same price. I'm actually leaning toward the reman to get (hopefully) an original Motorcraft/Autolite casing. I've read about "issues" with a lot of the new Chinese stuff.
