Reply to "Mangusta Carpet set on eBay"

(boy, like I have nothing else to do ) but interesting fit for the trunk carpet seems to have a common name at both World Upholstery and also Re-originals: Italian wool, "U13TP65..."

And before running away from the $675 per yard price from World Upholstery, realize that its the same cost as Reoriginals (just that its sold 4 square meters at a time. See their U13/TP65L) https://worlduph.com/samples/itcpt.htm

    - at least, the texture seems to be similar to what I would have wanted to call a 'square weave...' where 'square weave' (or basket weave, or boucle) seems is a tight loop vs. a velour is a pile like waving grass...A comment on an Alfa forum states that its a little more plush than Wilton.

And from the view, impossible to guess the pitch and coarseness of the squares...but the pattern (on a jute backing) seems to fit Nates picture, and the 'square' pattern probably one of those things that becomes more visible after 50 years of wear. Look especially at online pictures that are not just black.

  - note also, "U13TP66", aka "Anthracite" color that hmm, starts to gray up and just may be a match, to something, as the interior color that rhymes with "Haargarn"...this color also shows up in 60's Alfas, and note plenty of the same questions on the Alfa forums about whether the right color for a boat tail Duetto is black or gray...

Reoriginals has a cheaper solution for Alfas as a "synthetic wool" (and whatever that means, whether it means a blend or as some insist, just looks better 30 years later).
