I guess that the stock pressure plate was rated really low in spring pressure. The strange thing is that the centerforce diaphragm installed in a Pantera makes for a very light pedal but not so much as in the goose. Maybe Dana is correct in saying that the problem lies in the pedal linkage/hydraulic design. You could always try going back to a stock pressure plate but if you intend on increasing HP, it may not be enough to hold. I modified my Pantera Mcleod Long style pressure plate by removing 3 springs which lightened up the pedal pressure without any slippage but I would assume that the Mcleod spring pressure is rated well above that of a stock goose pressure plate
