Thanks to "The Pope", I was able to follow up on the "barn" Goose. All I can say is wow, if I was raised in a barn like that, I'd have better manners!
The car is, from the photos I have seen, gorgeous. The owner is not particularly looking to sell it because he wants a Mangusta done his way. Everything he has in mind will improve the handling performance and daily enjoyment of the car but his restorer rightly feels it may be better to start with a less "perfect" car than altering this one. Not to say it is completely flawless, but it about as close as you're likely to find anymore. It has been repainted very early in it's life and some very minor things have been done but nothing that ruins the car. The price (there are six numbers...) it will take to find a new home is more than I can afford, but it isn't unfair for what the car seems to be. I haven't seen it first-hand, but I understand there is a fair bit of supporting documentation with the car.
