Mangusta modified steering rack and new brake discs (rotors)

Hi from UK to everyone.  In the process of getting my race Mangusta onto the track I have had some parts manufactured which may be of interest to owners of road cars too.
Many people have complained about the 4:1  steering rack and its inadequacies.  I gave my original rack to Titan Motorsport in UK and got them to make a rack with 2.65:1 ratio.  Super smooth.  Design has been paid for so should be just cost of rack for anyone else.  (was about £500 / $650 plus taxes and shipping). They make lots of racks for GT / Prototypes

NB there is a simple but important change you may need to make to the rack specification.  My rack had 16mm ID rod ends but with a M12 x 1.00 fine thread.  Which they replicated.  But of course we didn't check availability of those rod ends until we had rack in our hands......we can't find (even Schaublin in Switzerland who made the originals) a 16mm ID with M12 x 1 anywhere!  Ended up using old ends for now.  So check the size / availability your rod ends in rack or work out what size you want threads in rack which would be simple for them to change.

John Freeth of Performance Braking who some may know from previous posts has had my F and R discs / rotors to original specification made from high quality material in UK, he can now supply new ones.

If Titan or Perf Braking don't ship overseas (some people don't with safety related items) maybe Johnny Woods or Roger Brotton could help if you buy via them.

Enjoy driving your Mangusta!
