Sorry, one additional point on this! At shop 'A', I delivered a set of new Pantera aluminum stems from Wilkinson, assuming they would fit fine. When the tire mounting was done, they handed them back, saying they didn't fit the rims. That's how they ended up fitting the rubber stems shown instead.

I'll try to locate one of these alloy Pantera stems downstairs, and look for one of the old steel(?) stems too that were on #1010 years ago. Comparative photo coming IF that plan works out.....
