Mangusta windscreen rubber update. Problem solved!
As I mentioned in my previous post Cicogani in Italy sent us a Mangusta windscreen rubber that was not even close. I called them and explained the situation and was offered a full refund or I could wait and they would make a new one. I asked what they mean by "new one" because it's more than just the length that is wrong the extrusion is totally wrong. She said "no, we are going to make an entirely new extrusion".
So we sent a section of original Mangusta rubber to her and also sent the exact dimensions of the glass so they could get the size right.
One month later the new windscreen rubber arrived and it's perfect! Nicely joined in the corners and exactly the right length!
All we have to do now is get them to make the rear window rubbers out of the same extrusion.
Cicogani have been excellent people to deal with and are the only company in the word that make a Mangutsa windscreen rubber. During this process I received samples from every vendor that claims to have Mangusta rubber but none of them are right. Only Cicogani.
