Reply to "Market for Deauvilles and Longchamps"

Jani,

I can't say there has been any major change in values in Australian Longchamps and Deauvilles based on recent sales. There has been a car dealer trying to sell a Deauville for some time at around A$50,000 (31,000 euros) but I think a nice Longchamp Spyder had success around this price +.

They are such rare cars that I think the better prices are achievable on the international market, but advertising locally (not to specialised DT enthusiasts) does not have much success.

Factory RHD Panteras and Mangustas have a solid market here, and I would say that they yield better prices than comparable LHD cars. Longchamps and Deauvilles just don't rate with the general market so upside is probably limited very much to DT enthusiasts, particularly Pantera owners that like the practicality and rarity of our cars.

Unlike others in the forum, I am only familiar with the market over the past few months, so my comments are limited to that period.
