If the shuttle valve were displaced, then the dash warning light (same light as the e-brake warning) should be on.

Also, the shuttle valve doesn't stop the flow of the brake fluid in the affected brake circuit. Its only purpose is to activate the warning light. See my earlier post and pic (last one on page).
