Reply to "Minimum Synchro Clearance etc. etc. etc."

I do tend to shift slower into second but it generally still gives a slight knock or clunk. Sometimes a fast more positive shift tends to eliminate the noise but not every time. I was perhaps thinking of a thicker oil for now, what would be the negative side affects be?
