Good observation. I have the Ron Davis lay down Rad which included a new top cover with specific instructions to make sure it was in place for best performance.

I have a 2018 Raptor and at 80MPH on the highway the temp will climb to about 232F if you are pushing into the turbos. I'm pretty sure the fans are stalling at that air speed and becoming ineffective. I've thought about putting a bypass switch in the fan harnesses and see if it improves.
