motor mount offset

Must be getting old. I went to reinstall the lower motor mounts to the frame. Seems I can't remember if the offset holes are supposed to be closer to the fire wall, or if I have them backwards, away from the firewall? I would hate to have to switch the mounts around with the engine and trans dangling inches above cause I had them in backwards.
Anybody remember which way they go?
