You're tightening the long central bolt against two rubber discs sandwiched between metal, so you shouldn't lean on the wrench too much. If you installed the long bolt from the top, you'll notice that the threaded end is drilled for a cotter pin to positively retain the nut against the effects of age, rubber shrinkage and vibration whitch will loosen it up no matter how tight you initially make it. If you installed the bolt nut-end-up as most people do, the cotter-pin hole is impossible to use, and at some point, the nut will loosen & the bolt and nut will drop out & be lost. Something to check on periodically.
