There is little stock about my car. I went completely outside the box and wired things from scratch. I set the main fuse box and relays in the front trunk. I have another fuse/relay panel on the rear firewall near items related. This leaves a lot more room under the dash. I did add a relay setup for the windows under the dash (which I don't have a photo) but without the main electrical harness there was plenty of room.
The dissadvantage to the front trunk harness is it does not look as good as it could. I may make a cover at some point. The advantage is I have easy access to all the wiring and am able to change things around at will.

The dash itself is easily removable with 2 bolts, 2 screws, and 3 plugs. One of the plugs is simply power for the gauges and switches:
I know this is probably outside the box of what you are thinking but it may give you a more open mind as to what you can do.
