Sounds like a perfect plan. Is it legal?

I just measured all and the Hall headers collect to a 2.25" into the muffler and have 2 tips exiting at 2.75". I found the Pace Setter Monza tips you refer to as Part # PSM-95-9917 (single 2.25 in and dual 3" out). See pic - are these them?

And that's all I need - just straight pipes to these tips with resonators and no mufflers? And you say I won't wake the neighbors at idle, or red flag smokey at speed?
