Murky Clutch Master Reservoir

Just was going over some spring time services and noticed my brake master is full, and a fairly clear 'golden' color.

The clutch master fluid, however, was very stained. I bought 12 oz of Valvoline synthetic (DOT 3, 4) and flushed it through the system. Clutch feels fine, most of the discoloration gone.

Are my seal disintegrating? Time for a precautionary new master/slave? Also, does this synthetic eat rubber? (Castrol LMA not available locally.)

Would rather be safe than sorry.
