A hood tip I'll pass on.........
When reinstalling my hood I found that by only lightly finger tightening the 3 mount bolts and then closing the hood completely into the latch I could then move the hood around to set side/back/front alignments and gaps much more precisely.
With the grille out and the top deflector off, the top bolt (only) can then be tightened from underneath, locking in the hood's position and then release/raise/tighten the other 2.
The other immediate benefit from this adjustment was that both the effort on the lever to release the latch is now greatly reduced, and now only one two handed CPR compression over the top of the hood pin is necessary to close/latch it on the first try, not 2-3 as it was adjusted before.
This may be old news for many here, but it worked for me!.........YMMV
