My car (2569) with 4384 orig miles has not been on the road for along time, probably close to forty years. I am replacing or rebulding everything in the brakes just to be safe.
The valve looks good inside. O-rings and seals look good, but it is 42 year old rubber sitting in 42 year old brake fluid. Some of that brake fluid had the consistancy of butterscotch pudding.
So I will not be able to answer the question if rebuilding this will change the brake feel as I have never driven the car on the road since I got it.
