Are you sure its in time?. I would start all over with the distributor, you may have accidently bumped it out of time. Then any plug wires loose. Then recheck the coil etc connections. Hope you get it started. I had a similar problem after I messed with my holly. When the choke heated up the trottle was TOO closed. I thought it was getting some gas because it tried to start. I opened the throttle with the idle screw (I was by myself w/o a remote starter) and it fired up. Yes you could have fouled out your plugs.
