Reply to "New Member "PAK" has question about R code 351C"

Hi, just joined this minute.
I have access to two original sets of arriva tires. Brand Spanking New still in the plastic. Does anyone have a need for them. I assume they would be used when your car is being judged.

Also, I have a shop manual from 1974. It lists all then various engine codes. It calls out "R" for Boss 351. Was there ever, ever a 71 Pantera delivered to a mercury dealer with a Boss 351 engine. Just one, maybe a special order or perhaps dealer installed. Does anyone know? It just seems weird that the shop manual which by the way I will make a copy of and send to PI for free so any and all members who want a copy can get one made would call out R for Boss 351.

Thanks for reading my first entry ever. I also belong to the Shelby american auto club and have grown up around ford racing all my life. My dad worked for the company for 35 years in production at the MPL building located at rotunda & southfield roads.
