Well,
It only took an extra day, but I finaly made it home.
No problems, was just taking my time enjoying the trip.
Every stop I made drew a crowd...... is this normal?
I even had and OR. State Trooper cross the westbound freeway, come up and pace my trailer and then pull up to give me a thumbs-up and pull away.
Still going through paperwork and finding more great info about the car. The previous owner had the car completly dissasembled dipped to strip all paint and dipped for corrosion protection. It is just amazing all of the records he kept. Found negatives of what look to be of the motor buildup. Lots of brochures of different components he must have been considering.
There is a PI catalog dated 1975, the prices would make you drool.
I took a quick clip of it idleing on the trailer, as well as one with a couple quick throttle blips. Not the best quality from my digi camera, but kinda cool.
427 @ Idle
It deff. doesn't rev. like a smallblock, but the solid lifter 427 has a sound all it's own.
Second one is still uploading, I've got a slow connection here at the house so just check back if it doesn't show up yet.
I'm pretty jazzed, and I haven't even gotten to drive it yet!
Thanks for reading.
Jeff
