But bad news. I went to the shop this morning expecting to wet sand it, buff it out and bring it home. My mentor in painting, using his shop to do this, decided he didn't want it leaving yet becasue he found a couple of area's he thought could be done better. Personally, I didn't see them as much as he did. But he is my teacher so I listen. I tried to convince him it is a street car that I drive, not show. It didn't work and he wasn't buying into it.

Sooooooo, I wet sanded it completely today, another 6 hours worth, with 1000 grit and it's another 2 AM morning doing the area's he wants me to redo and then spray another 4 or 5 coats of clear in the morning.

It doesn't leave the shop until he feels it's perfect.

I've been following a thread on the POCA board about the cost of a paint job. I have over $1500.00 in paint in this one at wholesale costs, and have 100+ hours so far in just prep. There's no doubt is would have cost me 8000.00+ if I had to pay for it.

I have a list of primers, paints and clear coats used with the amounts used but forgot the list at the shop. Will post it tomorrow Comp2.
