Reply to "New Paint"

Thanks JK.

Well, my painting mentor didn't like a couple of area's yesterday when I got back to the shop....sooooo, I wet sanded it again with 1000 grit all day. Today I put on another 5 coats of clear and he was finally happy. Thank God. But it was worth the extra work because the difference is easy to see by the reflections. This was taken today and it still needs to be wet sanded with 2000 and then buffed out on Monday.

Going over everything I did and what was used.

Comp2:
I used a total of 3.5 gallons of paint in primer, color, pearl and clear coat. It consisted of;
1. Dupont Expoxy Primer, total of 4 coats, each one wet sanded.
2. Dupont PW7 Base White, 4 coats.
3. Dupont Cristal Pearl, 2 coats.
4. U-Pol High Solids Clear Coat. 12 Coats then Wet Sanded with 1000 grit.
5. U-Pol High Solids Clear Coat again today, 5 more coats, now will wet sand with 2000 grit and buff it out on Monday
A Lot of work. But well worth the time & effort.
Now to put everything back together.
